Michigan Wastewater Lift Station Upgrade

Challenge:

Aging wastewater lift stations posed maintenance challenges and safety concerns.

Solution:

• Crane Engineering, in collaboration with Gorman-Rupp, proposed the installation of Gorman-Rupp Reliasource® Above-Ground Submersible Valve Packages (ASVP) stations.
• The new customized wastewater lift station design needed to include an enclosed building, providing a secure and weather-resistant environment for station operations.

Results:

• Significant improvement in employee safety and operational efficiency.
  
• Elimination of confined space work, no longer requiring two people for maintenance.
• Boosted efficiency and increased flow by 10-15% while maintaining the same horsepower as the original units.
