Crane Engineering offers self-priming pumps for a variety of applications including solids corrosive liquids, and slurries.
Self-priming pumps are centrifugal pumps that evacuate an air-liquid mixture to reach a fully primed pumping condition in order to start the pumping process. Because of the constant presence of liquid in the body of these pumps, the pump is better able to handle entrained air, creating more efficiency and ensuring optimal pump operation.
It is important to note that self-priming pumps cannot function without the presence of liquid in the casing of the pump.
