Challenge:

Create a cost-effective system with minimal footprint.

Solution:

• Design, manufacture, and install an "in-line" blending system that would accurately blend up to four raw ingredients
• System pulled one raw ingredient from a header and the other three (which make up only a small percent of the total) are pulled from totes or drums

Results:

• System used a fraction of the floor space compared to a blend room
• Capital cost was a fraction of the cost of a blend room
• System allowed quick formulation changes without having to deal with product remaining in the blend tank
