Val-Matic Surge Supression Valves
{id=33, name='Val-Matic', order=59, label='Val-Matic'}

Val-Matic Surge Supression Valves

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Val-Matic Surge-Suppression Air Valves are combination air valves equipped with regulated exhaust devices to limit secondary surges during column separation. These valves provide full airflow into the pipeline during vacuum conditions, preventing the formation of vapor pockets. They also allow controlled venting to suppress surges in the pipeline.

Manufactured under a certified ISO 9001 quality system, Val-Matic Surge-Suppression Air Valves minimize water blow-by during closure and maintain pumping efficiency by releasing entrained air while the pipeline is operating. The ability to adjust air exhaust enables greater surge suppression.

FEATURES AND BENEFITS

  • Restrictor disc provides regulated exhaust to limit secondary surges during column separation
  • Ability to adjust air exhaust for greater surge suppression
  • Provides full vacuum flow port for maximum pipeline protection
  • Minimizes water blow-by during air valve closure
  • Allows the use of smaller valve size by utilizing a maximum sizing differential pressure of 5 psig
  • Releases entrained air while the pipeline is operating to maintain pumping efficiency
  • Manufactured under a certified ISO 9001 quality system
  • Available in sizes 1/2" to 20"

APPLICATIONS

  • Water distribution systems
  • Wastewater collection systems
