 What Is Direct Steam Injection? 

Direct Steam Injection (DSI) is a process heating method that injects steam directly into a flowing liquid stream, transferring heat instantly without the need for a traditional heat exchanger.

Unlike shell-and-tube or plate heat exchangers that rely on indirect heat transfer, DSI heats process fluids immediately and uniformly. The result is rapid temperature control, improved energy efficiency, and reduced maintenance by eliminating fouling surfaces that require frequent cleaning.
