North America’s #1 Papermaker Turns to Crane for Cost Savings
Stora Enso North America, formerly Consolidated Papers, is North America's #1 producer of coated and supercalendered printing papers. The company, a subsidiary of Finland-based paper and board manufacturer Stora Enso Oyj, manufactures specialty papers which are used for consumer product labeling and packaging and also makes newsprint, coated free-sheet and groundwood paper, and paperboard. Kraft pulp, mechanical pulp, and recycled pulp from scrap paper are produced at Stora Enso North America's mills as well.
Stora Enso has been able to realize clear savings from the relationship with Crane. “They helped us reduce our working capital investment in spare equipment,” said Barry Meyers, who is employed in Stora Enso’s central purchasing department in Wisconsin Rapids. |
