De Pere Wastewater Treatment Facility Turns to Crane for Power Cost Savings
The City of De Pere Wastewater Treatment Facility, which provides tertiary treatment services for the City of De Pere, is dedicated to providing its’ customers with the best service and lowest cost treatment while maintaining harmony with the environment.  For the last seven years, Facility Manager Michael Kersten has been replacing outdated/failing equipment and renovating treatment systems all without increasing treatment costs.  Recently, the Kersten turned to Crane for a new HST blower system from ABS Pumps, Inc. of Meridan, CT.  The new blower system will optimize control of the process while realizing a savings in power costs of $40,000.00 to $50,000.00 per year….and is the first installation of its kind in the U.S. More >>

Crane Engineers Solve Oconto Screen Problems
The Oconto Wastewater Treatment Plant had an Influent Screen that required extensive
maintenance every 5-7 years. The bearings needed repair, several of its lifting teeth had broken
off and rags would pass through and cause problems downstream. The screenings created an unhealthy environment to work in and foul odors. The flow sampler would frequently clog with rags that passed through the old screen. The headworks facility was extremely small. More >>

City of Seymour Wastewater Treatment Plant - Seymour, WI
The City of Seymour Wastewater Treatment Plant’s existing primary treatment area was inefficient and in need of upgrade.  The original equipment worked to grind and treat large debris such as plastics and rags, and then return this ground-up material to the waste stream.  As a result, plant personnel had to periodically shovel out a stepped channel to clear it of clogged debris.
