Contractor Account Manager
Crane Engineering, located in Kimberly, Wisconsin is a pre-eminent distributor of fluid handling solutions to a broad range of industries throughout the U.S., Canada and Mexico. Crane offers its clients unique expertise in fluid system design, equipment sourcing and selection, fabrication, installation, field service and repair integrated to deliver high performance fluid systems.
Crane is seeking a Contractor Account Manager to perform outside sales functions within Wisconsin, with a focus on the Green Bay, Appleton, Milwaukee and Madison areas. Senior Application Engineer
Crane is seeking a Senior Application Engineer to support the sales force and our customers while helping to grow our business through the sale of equipment in our distribution and skid building business.
Responsibilities:
- Develops and maintains the product and application knowledge necessary to service internal and external customers.
- Supports and keeps sales and management staff informed of major projects; assists office and warehouse staff with application and product information.
- Provides customer and employee product training and technical support on sales calls.
- Provides the highest quality quotations possible for the specific application as outlined by the customer or Account Manager.
- Accurately prices, verifies contractual obligations, internal costs, agency sales and stock/drop-shipments.
- Monitors and maintains responsibility for profitability.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent, at least seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience within the industrial and sanitary markets.
- Process knowledge preferred.
- Ability and willingness to learn process a must.
- Experience in quoting, sizing and selecting pumps and valves.
- Experience working with Microsoft Office and other software programs.
- A detail-oriented, technical individual with the ability to think through solutions and maintain a customer focus.
- An innovative problem-solver capable of becoming a customer's “go-to” engineer.
- An experienced leader and engineering professional with appropriate industry experience.
- An ability to handle a varied and fast-paced workload to meet customer requirements for projects.
- A well-organized and self-directed team player.
- An intelligent and articulate individual who can relate to people at all levels of an organization and possesses excellent communication skills.
